One of the guiding principles from our shareholders is that the company should not have “all its eggs in one basket” so we currently have a portfolio of five food businesses in different but complementary market areas:

Aunt Bessie’s is one of the fastest growing frozen food brands in the UK. As well as its famous Yorkshire puddings, the range also includes a growing selection of family favourites, from tasty, traditional stuffing, to seasonal vegetables and nostalgic desserts.

Jackson’s Bakery, the leading UK sandwich bread producer, baking more than one million loaves each week, and home of Yorkshire’s Champion Bread, bloomers, baked to perfection in Hull using flour milled in Yorkshire from wheat grown in Yorkshire.

Hazeldene Foods, specialists in freshly prepared salad leaves and salad vegetables.

Parripak Foods, market leaders in the preparation of fresh vegetables.

Abel & Cole was established 25 years ago and since then has built on its reputation for supplying high quality organic vegetable boxes. It delivers a range of groceries, all locally sourced wherever possible, to 50,000 homes across the country every week.
