Senior Production Manager - Days

My client is an established multi site food manufacturing business that are currently seeking to add a new Senior Production Manager to their Senior Management team. This is a fast paced, labour intensive site who manufacture a leading branded product as well as manufacturing own label products for the major multiple retailers.
This role will be report directly to the Operations Manager and you must be able to demonstrate a solid track record in Production Management managing teams in excess of 100 people. You must be able to demostrate what achievements and improvements you have made in your career and how this was achieved.
You will have 4 team leaders reporting into you during your shift with overall responsibility of around 250 people.
This role will give you the opporunity to take the 1st steps towards a Site Operations Management role.
To ensure that a safe working environment is maintained in order to avoid accidents and prevent injuries to employees. Safety leadership is key to achieving this aim and subordinates must be trained, coached and directed to follow safe systems of work. It is the responsibility of the Manager to check and audit the departments for compliance. Where accidents occur, the Manager is accountable for the effective investigation that identifies root cause and corrective actions.
To Manage the operations within the bounds of good manufacturing practice that guarantee food safety legislation is adhered to and meet the quality standards set by the business.
To Manage the systems that govern the production activity required to meet agreed customer service levels ensuring compliance with these systems to guarantee product safety and packaging integrity.
To Manage the production operations in a manner that supports efficient running in order to meet agreed budgeted levels of expenditure on materials and labour. A policy of continuous improvement is required that constantly challenges cost and seeks to find ways to minimise cost without compromising quality or safety.
To Manage in a manner that is consistent with the company values and meets the standards of professionalism required by the company policies
Attend staff meetings and training as required
Ensure that product is manufactured to the required quality and legality standards as set out by the company as well as maintaining an awareness of basic food hygiene.
At all times be aware and observant of Health & Safety Regulations
-Demonstrable previous experience of Managing teams of 100 + in a high volume manufacturing environment at Production Manager level for at least 2 years.
-Direct exposure to hygiene within a high risk/high care food environment.
-Experience of working within the food industry or in an Engineering capacity
