As part of a development of their supply chain function, the business is looking to appoint an Engineering Manager for a key manufacturing facility win the group.
The role will report into the Factory Manager and will take full responsibility for maintenance and project engineering on a large manufacturing site. You will be responsible for driving a proactive maintenance engineering culture, ensuring projects are delivered on time and in budget whilst striving to develop your large team to become best in class. This position operates as part of the senior team, and therefore requires an individual to operate strategically, looking at ways and means of improving performance in a sustainable manor.
The right individual will have operated at a senior level in engineering within the food or drink sector. You will have a track record of delivering robust engineering strategies within large unionised manufacturing sites, and have the ability to lead a large team coherently and passionately. You will be of degree calibre, ideally having reached Chartered Engineer status, and have significant experience of managing change. Ideally you will have knowledge of lean tools and techniques, and the application of these in an engineering function, particularly implementing these in a way which wins hearts and minds.
