Gü is a growing, progressive, profitable brand and business offering a decadent range of indulgent desserts from tempting tortes to melting middles. Operating from our expanding, modern manufacturing site in Central London and part of Noble Foods, a major UK food manufacturing group, we are recruiting for a high calibre person to join the Gü Team and help the business take that next step forward.
This position will develop and maintain an effective hygiene management system ensuring full compliance with relevant legal and company standards. The post-holder will drive improvements in hygiene awareness and implement a number of hygiene improvement projects across the site. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will have responsibility for a large Hygiene team, leading, motivating and training to ensure they have an in-depth understanding of site policies relating to hygiene. The role will also include budget, external contract and resource management responsibility and you will be expected to deliver business improvement projects from start to finish.
With proven Hygiene Management experience within a food manufacturing environment, ideally with an understanding of high risk requirements, you should be fully conversant with hygiene systems and procedures. You should have an in-depth knowledge of BRC standards, microbiological risks and food safety. You will be a self-starter and influential manager with excellent communication and project management skills and be able to demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach.
