Following the continued growth of this food manufacturing business, they are now looking to appoint a Project Engineering Manager to oversee the major capital investment programme planned for their factory and assist with re-organisation of the current process flow.
The primary purpose of the role is to manage the end-to-end delivery of the capital-based process engineering projects. This will include managing the specification process, the time and cost plan, while achieving the highest of engineering and professional standards.
A key feature of the role will be to support the NPD process including the sourcing of innovative and sustainable engineering and process solutions. This will involve identifying future manufacturing development opportunities, including liaison with third party manufacturers, encompassing feasibility studies and cost/benefit analyses.
Additional responsibilities include management of all health and safety aspects of capital projects (Eg CDM requirements), reporting of project progress, managing key resource through to project delivery and managing post-delivery process including installation, commissioning and training.
The successful candidate will ideally be degree qualified, with relevant engineering qualifications, or equivalent. You will also have extensive capital project experience within an FMCG or food manufacturing environment. An excellent team player with good communication skills, you will play a key role in the multi-functional project related teams.
