Strategic planning manager opportunity for somebody with a strong manufacturing background, excellent leadership skills and understands how to implement lean manufacturing.

THE SENIOR PRODUCTION PLANNING MANAGER will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of factory production to meet customer and inventory requirements at optimum cost and all current and relevant business criteria and controls. You will also:
*Be directly responsible for the management of the Planning and Factory Materials teams - approximately 25 people
*Control of working capital, material flows and inventory management systems.
*Guide and work with Continuous Improvement team to deliver Lean Manufacturing projects and processes
*Part of the Senior Factory Management team
*Temporarily responsible for warehouse operations
THE CANDIDATE will have a majority of the following attributes:
*Proven track record of leading and motivating a large production planning team
*Strong Manufacturing background in FMCG
*Experienced in working with SAP or other similar ERP/MRP systems
*Lean Manufacturing trained with experience of initiating and implementing practical lean projects and processes
