Packaging Manager

This chilled food manufacturer who produce fantastic products for the major UK retailers is looking for a Packaging Manager who can drive the evolution of packaging within the business. Reporting to the Head of Innovation, you’ll be pivotal in delivering innovative packaging ideas from concept to launch. You will keep up with the latest developments in this fast paced industry, following market trends to identify customer and consumer needs.

You’ll build solid relationships with the customer regarding new packaging materials, concepts and technologies to guarantee that the company’s products retain their reputation for high quality whilst pushing packaging solution boundaries. You’ll also actively seek out solutions to environmental requirements to ensure all packaging is in line with current legislation whilst liaising with suppliers to obtain materials that are cost effective as well as of the highest quality. In addition you’ll be attending print and production runs, reviewing newly developed packaging concepts to ensure that the best levels of product performance are achieved

We are looking for a highly creative and innovative Packaging professional with a related qualification and experience of working in a similar creative packaging development role within food manufacturing. A strong understanding of the packaging industry and technologies is also essential along with knowledge of consumer research techniques. You’ll need to have excellent organisation and prioritisation skills in order to effectively manage multiple projects, a keen eye for detail, problem solving abilities coupled with a flair for commercial creativity.
