Are you an experienced and ambitious NPD professional looking to make an impact within a rapidly growing chilled food business?

This expanding food manufacturer is looking for a talented NPD Manager who can manage the development process and lead projects to deliver innovative new products for key retail customers in line with the NPD strategy. With your strong commercial acumen and flair for creativity you’ll be accountable for facilitating the development of new ideas from concept to launch according to the critical path as well as agreed budgets and timescales.

You’ll be responsible for the interpretation and management of customer briefs, developing solid relationships with your key accounts to define and deliver expectations and guarantee consistently high product performance in the market place. Liaising with suppliers you’ll also be sourcing the best ingredients and raw materials, ensuring all ranges are of the best quality and maintaining the company’s position as a trusted food business.

In addition you’ll be working closely with internal Commercial and Technical teams to seek out new business opportunities, conducting reviews and data analysis to identify gaps in the market as well as assessing processes to generate new product concepts in line with factory capabilities.

We are looking for a passionate Development Manager with proven success in customer facing NPD roles where you have demonstrated effective leadership skills to deliver innovative products for the major multiples. Experience of seeing projects through from concept to launch within the chilled readymeals sector is essential, and ideally you’ll have developed branded products for the UK retailers. You’ll also have experience of managing budgets and cost control where you have developed an analytical approach to tasks coupled with a keen eye for detail and excellent problem solving abilities. You must also be customer focused with first class interpersonal, communication and presentation skills as well as a strong commercial awareness and a good working knowledge of the technical aspects of food innovation and development.
