We are currently recruiting for two Key Quality Account Managers to act as the main point of contact for specific major retailers for all technical related activities. In these high profile positions you will build strong technical relationships with the customer to develop joint business plans and strategies. You will play a key role in the overall delivery of Arla's UK Quality strategy by ensuring that the relevant customer and Arla brand standards and expectations are understood and implemented in both Arla and co-packing sites. You will hold regular technical and quality reviews with the relevant Customer Technical Managers to ensure on-going compliance to all customer standards are met whilst delivering continuous improvement. You will fully understand and communicate all customer technical requirements and customer codes of practice to all relevant Arla sites (UK and Scandinavia) and co-packers, ensuring that customer specifications are completed accurately, approved, reviewed and issued in a timely manner.

Being fully competent in checking artwork and legal requirements of all labels and claims on both packaging and advertisements you will co-ordinate and attend all technical visits to Arla sites (both UK and Scandinavia) with or on behalf of the customer. This includes any first productions, site visits, site approval audits and any other audits and visits where necessary.

Ensuring that all customer technical queries and problems are answered and resolved to enable a permanent and satisfactory solution you will support the serious incident team in managing serious incidents and potential product withdrawals.

You will manage the quality and benchmark paneling with the customer, submitting the necessary reports post the paneling sessions and follow up and close out any corrective actions within the required timescales. You will also work closely with the innovation team to ensure that new products comply with the customer's codes of practice and all relevant shelf life, nutritional, raw material and supplier assurance information is available and satisfactory.

The successful candidates will be educated to degree level in a food science or related discipline with significant experience of working in a technical /operational role either in food manufacturing or with a retailer. You must have sound knowledge of food manufacturing and processing techniques along with knowledge of quality management systems, laboratory methods and good manufacturing practice.
