Reporting to the Operations Manager in a chilled food manufacturing facility Section Managers are accountable for delivering against robust performance measures in their areas of responsibility.
JOB PURPOSE:
There is a fluidity to this role which will initially be based around delivering process improvement projects across the factory and in due course rotating between projects and management of a 100-strong production team.

- Strong coaching and mentoring skills Ability to identify and eliminate non-value adding activity Leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Ability to recognise strengths amongst team members and to organise resources and people to deliver maximum performance.
- A track record of identifying and implementing sustainable improvements on labour and materials.
- A creative approach to problem solving and willingness to challenge existing practices to realise opportunities for improvements.
- Strength of character to remain calm under pressure assessing situations in the round, considering options available and making and communicating decisions clearly and concisely.
- Consistency in leading teams to meet targets in cost, quality and time.
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
