My Client is a major supplier of ambient stable ingredients to the UK food industry, including a number of market leading brands. They are wholesalers, agents and brand holders, with a portfolio of organic and natural brands and operate a packing, bottling, and dried fruit reprocessing plant in support of these business sectors.
Together we are looking for a Senior Technical Manager to strengthen and develop the provision of technical services to the business, and to manage the technical function for the wholesale, retail, and ingredient divisions, including the BRC certified processing, and packing site. You will be expected to play a full role in developing and implementing the strategic plan for the production plant. You will have direct responsibility for a team of two technologists, and four QC/QA staff.
Whilst primarily located at the production site, the incumbent will be expected to travel between sites and visit key contractor sites on a regular basis.
It is essential you have a Degree in Food Technology or a related discipline. A minimum of five years experience in the food industry with at least two years management experience, preferably in a role supplying blue chip food manufacturers. You will need HACCP and Food Hygiene training to intermediate level or higher. An industry recognised training qualification would be a major advantage and you should hold a clean UK drivers license.
