The Shift Engineer maintains the operation of production and premises of the factory, for both mechanical and electrical systems. Work performed and service rendered must always be of the highest standard and priority. The individual also provides technical support to the engineering and production departments, maximising production equipment up time and efficiency as measured through KPI’s.
Reporting directly to the Engineering Supervisor your responsibilities would include but not limited too:
*Maintaining a plant maintenance system that meets the requirements of the Plant Maintenance Policy and Engineering Work procedure.
*Ensuring that all delegated electrical/mechanical maintenance is performed with full regard to product safety and quality and employee Health and Safety.
*Implementing programs for continual process quality improvement.
*Attending to all documentation relevant to the plant maintenance system and Quality Department requirements.
*Ensuring that all delegated electrical/mechanical maintenance is performed with full regard to product safety and quality.
*Implementing programs for continual process quality improvement, particularly in respect to product contamination.
*Working with other sections of the Company to improve quality.
*Maintaining good relations with fellow staff and assist where possible and when asked.
To be considered for this role you will need
*A qualification to trade level in a relevant mechanical and/or electrical field. *Experience in the food manufacturing industry.
*Understanding of the principals and practice of food safety and maintenance within a food-manufacturing environment.
*Basic understanding of Food Production Principals and Practices.
*Good organisational skills and time management.
There will be overtime PAID and Shifts to be discussed.
