QA Assistant

£7.89 per hour
39 hours a week with paid overtime

As the QA Assistant you will work on the day shift and report into the Quality Systems Manager.
You will provide and deliver an effective Quality service, collecting information and conducting tests on raw materials and finished products, including Certificates of Analysis.
You will be responsible for updating the quality systems, deal with non conformances and customer complaints. You will ensure that the laboratory equipment meets CLAS standard and compile incident reports.
Problem solving, you will look at trends and update colleagues, writing incident reports and investigating root cause and taking appropriate corrective and preventative actions.


With an excellent eye for detail, you will have previous experience in a Food Manufacturing environment, with a basic level of scientific understanding relating to Food Science, Food Technology or Chemistry.
You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and work within a team. You will need to be able to solve problems and deal with any manufacturing issues. You will have the ability to use SAP and develop your own understanding of new systems or procedures.
Any experience with HACCP and BRC standards is a huge bonus.


This is a hands-on position; therefore, you will need experience in a similar role, such as a Quality Control Technologist, Quality Assurance Technologist, Quality Controller or a Quality Coordinator.
