Our client manufactures a wide range of chilled foods for the retail and foodservice sectors. With a £multi-million turnover, the business is committed to manufacturing excellence and remaining at the cutting edge of modern manufacturing practices and technologies.
Due to the recent growth, increasing market share, the business are looking for a commercially aware professional with responsibility for assisting a Senior Planner to manage the day to day and longer term planning of the site.
Responsibilities include:
- Generate plans which meet customer and inventory requirements at optimum cost and with minimal waste
- Providing short to medium term production plans for the site
- Translate the forecast and customer demand into the planning process for the site
- Work with the factory scheduling teams to identify any manufacturing issues which will affect the short and medium term supply and inventory plans
To ensure success you will have previous experience of production planning within a food environment. Confident, proactive and an excellent communicator, you will be able to liaise effectively with internal and external customers. Strong IT skills will be combined with the ability to develop new planning systems in line with the changing business needs.
