OUR CLIENT is a fast moving business focus on supplying Poultry based food products to smaller retailers and food service businesses throughout the UK.
This is a great opportunity for a Graduate with a Business/Food Degree or strong commercial skills to work closely with the Buying Director of this multi-million pound business.
You will be involved in all aspects of the buying operation from administration and order placement through to finding new suppliers and obtaining the best price for their products based on specific client requirements.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE will want a career in buying and have a genuine interest in the food sector and ideally will have at least 6 to 12 months work experience in an office based role. The key attributes our client needs from prospective candidates are:
*Robustness - the food and especially the meat sector can be a tough environment at times
*Great team player and communicator
*Relationship builder to get the best out of suppliers, colleagues and customers
*Prepare to travel abroad to meet suppliers
*IT and Telephone skills are a must
