If so, my client is looking for a Senior Technical candidate to assume control of Technical function of this busy and profitable business where you will be part of the Senior Management Team . You will be solely accountable for the success of the Technical function and will represent this business when dealing with all major customers regarding all things Technical.
You will be responsible for ensuring technical integrity, food safety & food quality, across the business in line with HACCP, all customer codes of practice and general best practice in the food industry.
You will manage the technical team so that they are effective in providing support and leadership to the business. To be the main site contact for retail and authority bodies. To lead continuous improvement and ensure compliance with Retailer and legal requirements.
Skills & Experience:
An extensive knowledge of technical systems, procedures and protocols (including retailer CoP’s and current version of BRC and BRC IoP)
Relevant qualifications in a scientific/technical discipline(degree or HND level)
Excellent people management skills with the ability to motivate the team
Good time management and prioritisation ability.
Flexible approach to work.
Good PC skills in Excel, Word and Email
Accurate work ethic – attention to detail
Level 3 HACCP, preferably level 4, within last 5 years
Level 3 Hygiene, within last 5 years
Working knowledge of allergens and retailer allergen CoP’s
Internal auditor, preferably BRC third part auditor
