We are currently recruiting for a Technical Managers to work within a FTSE100 Company based in Yorkshire, you will ideally come from a Senior Technical Manager role within a Food Manufacturing Environment, specialising in chilled products
Working within the Chilled Products area of the business, the role will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance at the heart of the trading teams so that the company standards for quality, safety, statutory compliance, corporate social responsibility and integrity are achieved, and business and commercial improvements are delivered.
Essential requirements:
Degree in relevant science (E.g. Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology) or a closely related discipline
Experience working with chilled food products
Good working knowledge of HACCP
An appreciation of the safety, legal compliance, compositional and quality aspects of products in the defined area and a clear understanding of their related technologies
Significant post-graduate experience in the manufacturing or retail industries
Lead assessor qualification and/or significant experience of supplier auditing
Commercial acumen which facilitates a contribution to product selection decisions or 'value engineering'
Ability to manage crisis situations such as product withdrawals and recalls
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Investigative decision maker
Highly developed planning, organising and project management skills
High degree of self-motivation, flexibility and enthusiasm
