We are looking for a talented Pastry Development Chef.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced confectionary professional to join the Development Team at Bettys Craft Bakery in Harrogate.

Reporting to the Bakery Development Manager you will be responsible for generating ideas and developing new products for our retail shops, cafes and mail order. You will also be involved in the continuous optimisation of our existing products and processes, while constantly looking to the future for ideas and inspiration.

Our ideal candidate will have a depth of experience as a pastry chef in 3 rosette standard establishments. You will have energy, creativity and flair but be able to couple this with an instinctive feel for what products will delight our customers new and old. You could already have some experience of the development process or you may be looking for your first development opportunity, training will be provided in this area.

Don’t underestimate the nature of the challenge. You will be working in different ways, with different goals and be able to influence people along the way. We’re looking for someone who can stretch to the future and expand their skill set.
