This position reflects the emphasis Oracle places on the requirement to effectively forecast, plan and schedule our £70m+ spend on raw materials. You will be responsible for delivery of daily plans to maximize production in relation to changeovers, waste, labour and raw material whilst delivering to quantity and specification. You will coordinate a team of Schedulers to supply and stock all onsite and offsite stock holding and work closely with commercial to forecast future capacity and labour demands; identifying shortfalls through analysis of budget sales growth by line.
You will demonstrate high levels of initiative to resolve problems such as potential shortages or conflicts as early as possible in the scheduling process and you will lead daily production meetings as appropriate to ensure the effective communication of plans and priorities. A KPI will relate to the effective management of consumables with target and so you will be required to develop stock usage and stock cover information to allow timely consumable replenishment without holding excessive stocks and you will liaise with suppliers as necessary to ensure that cost savings are achieved. Through Oracle your team will be expected to manage the ASN and total stock purchase requirements in line with procurement purchasing allocations.
It’s a challenging role in an environment of systems and process development. To be successful you will demonstrate relevant FMCG experience in a high volume planning environment and confidence in facilitating S&OP meetings and forecasting demand to support short, medium and long term procurement and planning decisions. High levels of Oracle or similar platform expertise is essential as is your proven ability to develop and implement processes and systems that deliver efficiencies across a number of KPIS, such as OEE, Plan Attainment and Waste. LEAN experience is ideal as is experience of leading a small team.
