This company turns over in excess of £20 million and has undergone considerable growth over the past 2 years securing major new accounts with Tesco. The successful Hygiene Manager will have a background in the FMCG arena ideally dealing with chilled produce. In addition you will have a particularly strong background in man management with an eye for detail and high standards. You will have knowledge of HACCP as well as chemicals and COSHH.
Key responsibilities of the Hygiene Management role include ensuring that all areas of the factory, both environmentally and equipment, are cleaned in accordance with the schedules and to the correct standard. Any areas of concern or non-completion are to be raised with the relevant area manager and agreeing a mutually agreeable alternative window that still meets food safety requirements. In addition you will be expected to advise the other departments in safe cleaning methods and practices where applicable. Furthermore you will be expected to act upon any issues arising from internal and external audits, including pest control.
