Lakeside Food Group is a rapidly growing UK based food group that sources a range of protein based food products from around the globe. With key suppliers across many exotic and distant locations including Asia, South America, Australasia, Western and Eastern Europe, Lakeside Food Group works closely with co-manufacturers to produce primarily frozen but also fresh, chilled and ready to eat foods. Supplying directly to the UK major retailers, food service and wholesale business as well as to further manufacturing operations, the business’ product range spans raw meat / fish, breaded / battered meat and fish, party foods, cooked meats, value added and ready meals through retail own label and brand.
Working within an established technical team you will report directly to the Group Technical Manager and will have dual accountability for writing customer and supplier specifications, management of customer technical information databases, artwork approval and other aspects of the quality management system. This is a broadly scoped opportunity where you will share some responsibilities for a range of technical and product related activity covering troubleshooting, product management and product launches. Relevant training will be provided.
With a proven background in a technical function, you should be proficient in database and online specification management. An understanding of food labelling legislation would be beneficial. You should be a flexible team player who enjoys multi-tasking and possesses good communication skills. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload are key attributes to performing well within this role.
