This is an exciting time to be joining this dynamic chilled food company which is undergoing substantial change in order to improve operational performance. Our client is seeking an experienced multi-skilled Engineering Manager with proven people management abilities to undertake full responsibility of the site engineering function. You will be responsible for ensuring that all engineering work is carried out to the highest possible standard in accordance with company codes of practice and relevant statutory legislation.
Key accountabilities will include: managing and developing a dedicated Engineering team; developing a culture of continuous improvement to create a fully integrated engineering department; proactively managing and improving plant preventative maintenance schedules to effectively support site operations, reduce down time and increase productivity; planning and scheduling planned and unplanned maintenance work; diagnosing and addressing breakdown problems and monitoring and controlling engineering costs.
With excellent project management, analytical and organisational skills, you should be able to demonstrate a proven track record in Engineering management from within a food manufacturing environment.
