Quality Manager

- To provide day-to-day management and support of the quality team in respect of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions ensuring that the Quality and Food Safety is being maintained to the required standards.

1 Day to day management and development of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control team atthismanufacturing and distribution site. Proven experience is essential.

2 Ability to have strong input into the product quality strategy of the business.

3 Excellent communication skills capable of leading people to sustained performance and possess the ability to influence people at all levels.

4 Ensuring all operations are performed to current standards employed on site, including Organic Food Federation, BRC and MHRA standards.

5 Competent to lead site inspections and audits from the relevant certification bodies and the local Authorities.

6 A good understanding of BRC requirements and quality procedures with an ability to train associates in these procedures with emphasis on GMP's.

7 Good Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of Food Safety Regulations, HACCP and Food Hygiene requirements.

8 Investigation of Customer complaints, supplier rejections, production quality problems and issues raised by local authorities. Implement the necessary corrective actions.

9 Manage and co-ordinate the approved supplier audit programme. This will require auditing suppliers to assess competency, a report will be written and presented to the line manager.

10 Technical ability to review product specifications from suppliers with good knowledge of Food Labelling Regulations.
