Project manager

A Project manager - electrical controls with PLC and SCADA is required for a world leader of automated assembly robotics providing solutions to various engineering markets.

Location: West Midlands
Salary : Up to 42,000 + car + Bonus + Bupa


Reporting into
to the Controls Manager the post holder will manage all aspects
Of project progress and cost control providing electrical engineering expertise

The Role

Establish key customer contacts.
Produce electrical specification for incorporation in proposal quotation.
Prepare and control timing programme for electrical engineering activities.
Prepare functional design specifications.
Organise and document design reviews.
Define and communicate to the Project Team, their roles and responsibilities.
Ensure milestone target dates are met.
Validate project estimate and update as necessary to provide basis for cost control.
Be responsible for cost control forecasts and reports.
Manage claims to and from the customer and suppliers.
Chair regular project meetings with client and Project Team and issue relevant minutes.

Required Knowledge and Experience

Understanding of Health and Safety Legislation.
Ability to understand customer requirements and specifications
Planning ability - to manage, implement, validate and produce timing plans for project

work
Management of project cost control
Team leader with experience of managing multi discipline teams.
Ability to manage the quality aspects of a project
Application knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems
