Customers include leading retailers, food service partners and further food processing companies.
This is a board level role, reporting into the Managing Director and responsible for leading the site to the cutting edge of food technology. An excellent leader with gravitas and a flair for communication, this role will see you leading a team, inspiring everyone to improve standards, processes and hygiene in the factory as well as supporting the wider business.
It's all-encompassing as you would expect! - It is commercially absorbing. Technically demanding, customer orientated and definitely strategically driven. Managing a dedicated technical team, you will work closely with all internal departments to ensure the product is legal, safe and high quality right throughout the supply chain
With a degree in Food Technology or related scientific discipline, you should have significant Technical Management experience ideally directly related to the chilled or frozen food sectors. Dynamism, flexibility, commercial acumen, personal gravitas and a high level of technical competence are prerequisite, along with true leadership and excellent interpersonal skills. Retail own label supply experience is essential either from the customer or supplying aspect of delivering product technical excellence.
