NPD Technologist

As a key member of this fast paced team you’ll be working closely with Development Chefs to facilitate the innovation of new products from concept to launch in line with retailer product briefs within a dynamic category. You’ll use your strong commercial awareness and creativity to work on inspirational projects that make an impact in the market place whilst managing recipe development in line with customer feedback and factory capabilities. You’ll be presenting your ideas to key retail customers, emphasising the commercial viability of new products and effectively influencing them with your culinary vision. You’ll also be managing supplier relations to guarantee viable and responsible sourcing of the finest and latest ingredients so that your products are cost effective without compromising on quality and taste. Furthermore you’ll be evaluating new ranges by conducting market reviews, comparative shopping and benchmarking to help keep this high flying business at the forefront of the industry.

Suit a food graduate with some previous experience of the NPD process, recipe management and working on retail own label products, ideally within the chilled sector of food manufacturing. To succeed in this role you must have commercial awareness, good relationship management skills and a real passion for food. You must also have great organisational, admin and IT skills.
