I am currently recruiting for a Production Manager for a leading food manufacturer in the Yorkshire area. This company has experienced continued growth over the last 10 years and has consolidated its place as one of the leading manufacturers through several high profile acquisitions. The companies turnover and head count has increased substantially over the last year cementing the companies place in the industry as a respected and growing brand. Owing to this growth, the business is now looking to recruit a senior Production Manager to join the team and improve their manufacturing capabilities
The Production Manager will play a key role in the development of staff and will be instrumental in the training and implementation of KPI’s. You will also be expected to increase productivity and efficiency with particular focus upon wastage and direct labour efficiency, including monitoring monitor and reducing wastage through planned improvement initiatives. Furthermore you will have a strong understanding of the Health & Safety Act and its implications to you, your colleagues and the company.
The successful applicant will have experience of managing medium/large teams and will have developed a strong and assertive management style with traceable results. In addition you will have a favourable track record in Lean manufacturing and be able to point towards numerous examples of significant savings you have made throughout your career through the implementation of such techniques.
