Distribution Manager, Warehouse Manager / FMCG/ Middlesbrough, Stockton, Teesside / North Yorkshire / County Durham, Food Manufacturing.
We are recruiting for an Distribution Manager on behalf of a leading Food Manufacturer.
Based in Stockton on Tees Middlesbrough, the role is commutable from Billingham, Hartlepool, Redcar, Darlington, Durham, Northallerton, Harrogate, Newcastle and Sunderland etc.
The Role:
The Distribution Manager role reports to the General Manager and is a key part of the senior site management team. It requires working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Structure:
Reporting to the Distribution Manager are 3 Team Managers (all equally responsible for the day to day running of the department). Each Team Manager is responsible for a number of drivers and despatch team members:
- 16 van sales drivers
- 8 trunker drivers
- 9 despatch team members
Responsibilities Include:
- To ensure all Company vehicles are maintained in accordance with Company policy and statutory and legal requirements within agreed budgetary parameters
- Work with the Management Team and other Distribution Managers to manage the impact of variations in production, customer orders, and inter Company product movements..
- work with the Area Business Development team to ensure excellence in customer service and relationship management, to maximise sales growth in the Area, including growth in convenience accounts where applicable..
- Management responsibility for Fleet Manager, Depot Managers, Despatch Managers and Bakery based Distribution Team Leaders directly reporting into the post holder, with a total department of (site numbers) employees
Salary: circa £40,000 - £43,000+ and Benefits e.g. Company Car, Mobile Phone etc
