Senior Category Purchasing manager is required for this organisation who will have an International EMEA remit, with a major focus on UK, France and other European activities with responsibility for $140M spend.
THE SENIOR CATEGORY purchasing manager will be focused on managing the Indirect Category team who need a highly experienced and capable change manager to drive and deliver the procurement strategy for this $140 Million category.
*The Indirect Category includes Media, Logistics, Building and Capital Equipment, Marketing, HR, Travel and Financial Services.
*Reinforcement of the sourcing strategy across EMEA, aiming at reducing total cost of ownership of our products and services, developing supplier performance and simplifying business processes.
*Major challenge will be a greater control/optimisation of the logistic costs
*Implementation of a full performance cycle in standardization, stability and simplification of the key processes involving internal customers across the indirect categories
*Procure to pay & e-procurement initiatives are of high importance.
*Management of 2 Indirect Buyers, Purchasing Co-ordinator and a Business Process Manager
So we are looking for an experienced Purchasing Professional, with a sound commercial mind-set who is able to understand complex business constraints, has demonstrated effective performance in managing indirect categories as well as other categories and who is able to operate effectively in a highly matrix environment as well as pan-European or international projects.
