The Role
This surely is a NAM dream job! Working to support the Customer Development Manager your role would be to ensure the continued growth and profitability of these market leading products within one of the fastest growing food grocery retailers, with full accountability for the leadership and financial delivery of this high profile account. It will be down to you to determine the strategic direction including growth levers and profit drivers of an account which is already achieving significant growth, but has ambitions for double digit growth in the next 12 months. As the key contact it will be your job to establish and nurture productive and constructive relationships that will ease the path of business transactions and assist in the development of brand loyalty. You will develop the medium and long term plans that will deliver continued growth and profitability whilst fully considering customer requirements, market conditions, financial requirements, consumer trends and brand plans
This is an autonomous field based role so would suit an individual who can maintain their drive for results and focus without people around them.
About You
Ideally you will be a creative ambitious and successful sales professional with proven experience of successful business development or account management, working with big brands preferably within the grocery sector, and a work history that charts your career progression. Of graduate calibre and with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills you will be comfortable meeting people at all levels, able to engage and influence others to ensure outcomes serve the business well. Your previous experience and business acumen will enable you to assess the challenge, identify opportunities or weaknesses and develop a strategy that will enable you to deliver against the operating plan. Confident in your own ability you will be able to make decisions when needed, even if the information is incomplete or ambiguous. Your entrepreneurial approach will mean you maintain the overview of your account, monitor activities and outcomes, including having the managerial courage to make changes if needed, maintaining perspective at all times whilst constantly moving toward the desired outcome.
