Manufacturing Engineering Manager wanted by leading food manufacturing company to help drive change.

Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager your will be tasked to lead engineering teams to continually improve the availability and reliability of equipment ensuring the site operates in a compliant and productive manner.
Achieving this is not just about improving maintenance programmes, dictating standards or controlling budgets, or even managing innovative projects, or delivering accurate MI. All of this is important, but the critical skills required in this role are more about your ability to drive innovation through the engagement, development and empowerment of multi-skilled teams under your direction. This may mean helping to develop a culture of mutuality and collective achievement where joint efforts are focussed on delivering what the business needs to achieve success in the global marketplace, taking the next step on the strategic ladder. It could involve supporting, coaching and mentoring individuals to achieve their full potential to both maximise their contribution to the business and help their personal development.
You are likely to be in a similar role looking for more challenge and opportunity, having had previous experience in a leading FMCG food manufacturing company, and be in possession of a suitable engineering qualification (time served plus HNC, BEng or similar). Ideally you will have more than 3 years management experience, have been involved in the formulation and delivery of engineering strategy, and be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of modern maintenance practices. Great communication and interpersonal skills are paramount.
Salary up to £45,000 plus generous benefits.
