Our client is a global operator in the food ingredients industry. The company’s presence in Europe is rapidly expanding in what is an extremely exciting time in the business’s growth, having already experienced tremendous success in America and the Far East. Due to expansion, the company has created a new role for a German-speaking Senior Applications Technologist to act as a key link between the UK and German technical teams.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, your time will be split between the UK site (near West London) and Germany. Working on a range of briefs across categories including beverages, dairy, bakery and savoury solutions, you will be a key interface for the multiple projects that the company is handling at any one time. You will work with manufacturers ranging from medium-sized national manufacturers through to global household names in the food and drink market. Along with the travel between the two sites, there may also be other travel involved when necessary, to visit customers and help with their vast-ranging project briefs.
The ideal candidate for this position will be degree-educated in Food Science or similar, with broad technical/NPD experience within the food ingredients channel. Having worked in customer-facing roles before, you will build rapport naturally with people of all seniority levels. It is vital that you can speak German to a good level and be prepared to travel quite extensively.
In return for your hard work, you will join a company that can offer you the opportunity to play a key part in shaping its future in what is a genuinely unique challenge.
