Process Engineer

A process engineer is required for a busy 1st tier automotive business who are entering a period of growth and implementing new processes.The process engineer will Ensure production is achievable at correct rate, quality and cost providing premium products to a portfolio of International customers.

The role

"
To provide technical support and expertise of manufacturing processes in order



to improve manufacturing performance with regard to output, productivity and



cost using best practices (lean manufacturing)
" To assist the development and implementation of quality improvements including the compilation, updating and maintenance of FMEA's, process flows, process control documentation, scrap reduction, internal & customer quality concerns containment actions and root cause corrective actions.
" To ensure the effective management within the production area, and in line with company policies and procedures, of engineering change, product revisions and upgrade, and ensure the effective implementation of new product introduction.
" To maintain and update all line documentation and procedures in relation to the manufacturing process within the production area.
" To ensure the successful introduction of new plant & equipment in line with company procedures.
" Monitor and record production area's output, quality & cycle times.

6. Qualifications/education/membership required:
Minimum qualification of HNC in an engineering discipline.



7. Personal Qualities
Good written and verbal communication skills
Flexible work approach
Able to work on own initiative and within teams
