Health & Safety and Quality Systems Officer

Our client supply premium packaging products to some of the UK`s leading manufacturers. They have an excellent Health & Safety record and are now seeking a new Health & Safety Advisor to lead the continued development of site procedures. As a key advisor to the site management team you will manage and influence the site Health & Safety performance and play an important role in quality system compliance. This will include complete review of existing health and safety practises and the recommendation and implementation of new procedures as appropriate. You will liaise with relevant external bodies and have strong influencing and training skills working closely with operations and management teams. You must share H&S best practise on a site and group basis and support the site audit programs. You will manage risk assessments and the investigation of all incidents and work to ensure best practise. We are seeking a candidate who has already gained their NEBOSH certificate and who can demonstrate experience of working in a complex manufacturing environment. FMCG experience would be desirable (food manufacturing / pharmaceutical manufacturing). You should champion Health & Safety and be committed to developing the most effective systems and be able to show a track record of delivering improvement and effective management and resolution of related issues. An understanding of BRC and ISO standards would be ideal but training can be offered in these areas.
