Senior food ingredients category buying position within a major food and flavours manufacture covering the needs of a number of major UK factories servicing both retail brands, retailers and industrial clients.

What the role entails:
*Developing Raw Material purchasing strategies that enable profit improvement from both efficiency improvements and contract savings.
*Consolidation of the supply base and supplier performance improvements
*Simplification of procurement processes
*Manage and Contribute to projects throughout the business and across boarders
*Analysis of business costs to target new purchasing initiatives
We are looking for talented candidates looking for their role to stretch and build on their already successful career in purchasing.
*Track record of creating and delivering purchasing strategies
*Experience of managing international procurement projects
*Direct negotiation, supply base management and process improvement skills.
*Team player able to interface well with all parts of a large business as well as with suppliers
*Degree qualified and post graduate in purchasing or CIPS would be a plus.
