Engineering Manager

We are recruiting an experienced, graduate calibre, proactive hands-on Engineering Manager to co-ordinate the site engineering function and deliver the engineering plan in a cost effective manner at a >450-employee high volume, fast moving food manufacturing site.
Reporting to the Site General Manager the Engineering Manager should have experience of:
- Leading a team of engineers identifying ways to improve performance without impacting on quality.
- Improving engineering team performance through team training and development.
- Working closely with production to keep machinery downtime at a minimum.
- Running a team of engineers in a fast moving, high volume, 24/7 production environment.
- Planning preventative maintenance in advance to avoid production disruption.
- Project management.
- Budgetary control.
- Developing a "one team" culture throughout the business.
- Successful PKI/performance management.
- Change managament
- Managing engineering (projects and maintenance) within an automated process environment
Candidates should be
- Excellent communicators.
- Assertiveness and confident decision makers.
- Capable of delivering excellent results.
- Driven to achieve to the best of their ability, striving for high performance, looking for more scope, more autonomy and more opportunities.
- Familiar with IOSH/NEBOSH
- Ideally chartered/working towards chartered status.
