A fantastic Logistics Support Coordinator role has arisen with a rapidly expanding agri-food manufacturer, a UK Market leader in their sector. As a Logistic Support Coordinator you will be working in an environment that is both challenging and rewarding where you will be given the chance to develop quickly and pursue exciting opportunities.
Reporting to the National Transport Manager your remit will include:
*Organising and managing the day to day transport activity, help plan and check that the routes are efficient for all products
*Ensuring the customer's needs and requirements are being fulfilled as well as controlling and assigning work to 3rd party hauliers
To be successful in this exciting Logistic Support Coordinator role you will need/be:
*Previous transport planning experience (manufacturing and/or logistics) preferably in a large company environment.
*Knowledge of the agricultural market place would be a an advantage
*Experience of logistics planning
*Understanding of 3rd party haulage and haulage negotiations
*Knowledge of transport law and drivers hours
*Must have a good understanding of transport law
*Previous customer facing experience would be highly beneficial
*Able to learn new skills quickly
*Ability to prioritise a busy workload and work well under pressure and react quickly to customer requirements.
*Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
*Computer Literacy and Business System appreciation
*Willing to travel as and when expected
