Our client is an international supplier of ingredients for the food and beverage industry. With a heritage spanning over a century, the company is financially secure and constantly growing. The business is looking to add to its sales team with the appointment of a number of Business Development Managers.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be handed an array of accounts to manage, but the role will be slightly more weighted towards new business development. Largely office based, the position will involve a lot of telephone work, but will include some travel to meet customers and strengthen relationships. You will use the company’s resources as well as your own initiative to find manufacturers that they are not currently dealing with, identify your customers’ needs using a collaborative approach, then close the deal. Your targets will span across new business gained, organic growth in current accounts and profit margins achieved.
Successful applicants will display a strong track record in winning new business, ideally within a similar sector. With a natural drive and the tenacity to succeed in such a competitive market, you will be bright, energetic and natural in fostering long-term relationships.
