Engineering Team Leader
£35,000 - £40,000 plus benefits
Our client has a great reputation within the fast paced food manufacturing sector. It is actively seeking an Engineering Shift Manager, who has worked within an FMCG environment, such as food manufacturing or packaging. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will work as the engineer on shift and be expected to carry out proactive and reactive maintenance on production lines during your shift. The chosen candidate will play a key role within the Operations team - leading and working alongside a small team of maintenance engineers to ensure production targets are met in line with company safety, quality and hygiene standards and Corporate Values.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading, developing and motivating the shift team
* Ensuring KPIs are met/exceeded
* Driving Continuous Improvement through team involvement to ensure performance targets are met/exceeded
* Promoting a positive, safe culture where all team members contribute
* Required to operate a fork lift truck (training provided)
The successful candidate will ideally have a multi-skilled engineering background (preferably within a food manufacturing environment) with City & Guilds or Hnc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification (or similar), experience of managing people and a positive "can do" attitude along with good communication skills.
