We are recruiting for a Production Manger (Departmental Manager) on behalf of Haydens Bakery, a leading FMCG Food Manufacturer.
Based in Devizes, Wiltshire, the role is commutable from Trowbridge, Chippenham, Bath, Bristol, South West areas etc.
Responsible to the Managing Director, the candidate will undertake the following:
- Manage the department as defined and agreed to the highest standards achievable through the delivery of pre agreed KPI’s.
- Communicate with other Departmental Managers, Weekend /Night Site Managers, Section Leaders, Line Leaders, Senior Managers and other departments with respect to the performance and operation of the factory.
- Agree, own and deliver the KPI’s for your department ensuring that KPI actions follow a continuous improvement process. Communicate and review on a daily basis with Senior Management and your team, ensuring responsibility is allocated appropriately.
- Own the quality management system and ensure all processes are followed in order that our client can meet their key customers codes of practice.
- Own your department budget and control the financial performance of your department, ensuring spend is within budget and the correct sign-off procedure is adhered to.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Production Management experience, preferably from a Food Manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Good decision making and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of Continuous improvement/Lean Manufacturing.
Salary: £30,000-£37,000 (doe) + Benefits
