Our client is a European leader in their category, supplying added value meat products to all the major retailers. They have one of the most modern chilled manufacturing sites in the UK and have recently completed a major expansion of their factory increasing the size by over 20%. The culture is open and honest with a friendly approach to business. To supplement this expansion they are looking for a Production Manager to join their team in the South West
As Production Manager you will be responsible for managing your own section of the factory. With experience in working to KPI's you will effectively monitor your teams performance, implementing improvement plans when necessary. You will train and develop your team members to ensure they are contributing to the continuous improvement of the business.
Reporting to the Operations Manager your responsibilities will include;
· Training and development of team members
· Managing the new product development (NPD) process
· Monitor and ensuring delivery of KPI's
· Assist in the recruitment of direct reports
· Performance management of team members
The ideal candidate will have experience in leading a team within a food production environment. They will have the ability to communicate effectively and create a united team mentality to drive the business forward.They will have knowledge of GMP to ensure audit requirements are met ensuring customers' continued confidence.
