Frank Roberts and Sons Ltd is an independent and family owned business engaging in the manufacture and sale of high quality bakery products. The Company incorporates four operating divisions comprising Roberts Bakery, the Pastry Case, Aldred’s and P & A Davies. The Pastry Case, which has a large amount of Product Development activity for major UK food retailers, are looking for a Senior NPD Technologist to support its active team. Reporting to the General Manager, you will support the strategic objectives of the Company for focused, customer led, all year round product development. You will develop products from concept to launch to meet customers’ expectations and legislative requirements, whilst assuming a wider range of departmental duties.
Working in collaboration with multiple functions, you will monitor and manage the critical path for all products in development to deliver successful and on-time product launches
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in food science/technology, and have a proven track record of successfully launching new and innovative products. You will have a proven track record in concept to launch development experience with UK Retailers. You will be creative and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills, a strong customer focus and have good project management skills. A bakery or similar food manufacturing background would be desirable but not essential.
We can offer a competitive salary of £28,000 per annum, company pension, and other benefits. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
