This is an exciting opportunity for a high calibre Manufacturing Manager to join an international, market leading food manufacturing Group supplying a range of branded and own label products to the retail, food service and food-to-go sectors. The role is based at one of the company’s key strategic sites in the UK, which is primed for significant expansion, presenting scope to introduce best-in-class manufacturing practices in pursuit of ambitious growth targets.
Leading a team of approximately 100 people, this role will be responsible for developing and implementing a modern manufacturing system across an established site, producing a wide range of short shelf-life ambient products. The focus of the role will be on harnessing the commitment and experience of the existing team, ensuring that people across the business are bought-into the highest standards of quality, safety, efficiency and customer service.
Candidates, of degree calibre and ideally qualified in a relevant food science, engineering or manufacturing-related discipline, will have proven production/manufacturing/operations management experience, preferably gained in a food environment. Strong leadership skills are absolutely key for this appointment and the successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to develop a high performing team by coaching and developing others whilst cascading ownership and promoting empowerment across a diverse workforce.
