Oversees employees and coordinates activities of Bakery department. Assists with baking and other areas of the department.
Daily Tasks and Responsibilities:
1.Observes employees to ensure proper departmental procedures and standards are followed. Checks quality and consistency of finished product.
2.Upholds safety and security procedures. Monitors health code compliance such as sanitation, temperatures and pull dates.
3.Coordinates activities to achieve sales and merchandising plan for department.
4.Participates in baking product. Oversees and participates in product presentation and merchandising. Leads by example, trains and encourages personnel.
5.Assists with physical inventory periodically (13 times per year). Assists with orders to buying office for equipment, product and supplies.
6.Checks for proper maintenance and repairs for machinery, equipment and implements.
7.Provides and ensures prompt and courteous member service.
8.Coordinates proper maintenance and repairs for machinery and equipment.
9.Assists with front end duties and other departments in the warehouse where necessary.
Qualifications (Costco specific or industry-specific skills that candidates should possess)
Education / Training : GCSE standard or equivalent preferred
Licences / Certification: Costco Food Safety Certification required within 30 days.
Experience: Bakery experience preferred.
Knowledge / Skills: Computer and math skills preferred.
