Working for a rapidly expanding and highly acquisitive food production and distribution business the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for developing, designing and implementing the supply chain controls across warehousing and distribution including; procurement, planning, raw materials, SOP and forecasting. This is a key management role with a remit to develop systems which support the business in UK and also into Europe in the near future.
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to get in at the beginning of the development of a new organisation in the UK and Europe, and to be instrumental in the setting-up of the supply chain function. The business already has the highest level of credentials, and a £multi-million business in the Far East. The business is well funded and has big ambitions to gain a stake in a £10bn market in Europe through the successful establishment of European operations from the UK.
As Supply Chain Manager you will be accountable for; the timely and efficient management of all products for European Operations, development of warehousing processes, payment of vendors and the negotiation and development of supplier contracts. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your supply chain experience to the table where you can develop, from a near blank sheet of paper sustainable processes which support the strategic plan as well as optimise efficiency and capacity. It is a senior management role, where you will be expected to champion best practice and develop open and collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
