NPD Manager

With a market leading position and state of the art facilities this business considers continued investment in NPD and innovation of critical importance to continued long term relationships with their customers. They now have a need for an NPD Manager to join them for c8 months to assist them on a maternity cover contract. Your role will be key in maintaining those important relationships as well as managing a busy NPD programmes and ensuring the NPD team have clear leadership and support. With responsibility for working with a range of high profile retail and foodservice customers this is a real opportunity to flex your creative muscles and lead and mentor a team to reach their full potential. You will be responsible for delivering truly innovative development solutions through an excellent understanding of the market place and food trends as well as your own creative skills. You will be able to deliver against customer briefs but crucially be proactive in delivering new concepts and maintaining the enviable and market leading position the business already holds. We are seeking a truly passionate individual who is able to contribute an inspiration and challenge orientated approach to their team and manage with the utmost enthusiasm and motivation training and development needs. You`ll need good project management skills and be able to manage multiple NPD and EPD projects across a variety of customers at any one time. As a graduate in a food science or related discipline you`ll have product development experience in a food environment that demonstrates both your creative and commercial capability in developing and delivering outstanding products to the market. Excellent project management skills will be key to your success. You should have credibility in working with customers and at all levels internally and show a strong understanding of the market place. As an experience people manager you`ll be confident in allocation of projects and development of skills for your team.
