Hygiene Manager

With multiple sites in the UK this is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful food manufacturing business supplying premium products to retail and foodservice channels. The business is a leader within the industry and has a long tradition of manufacturing quality products. Due to their continued success and growth they now seek to recruit a Hygiene Manager to lead the continued development of the team. You will set a clear strategy for hygiene requirements in order to achieve customer requirements and continuously improve the department. This will include reviewing existing practices and the recommendation and implementation of new procedures as appropriate. Key responsibilities will be to ensure cleaning operations are conducted in compliance with specifications, meeting cost, quality, productivity and H&S targets. You will continually look to develop staff to ensure that staff are fully utilising their skills as well as coach and develop staff to improve individual and team performance. You will also drive continuous improvement to maximise efficiencies through the development of people, processes and systems. You will currently be working within an FMCG environment or have exposure to a fast-pace manufacturing cleaning operation, ideally food. You must have experience of hygiene within a manufacturing environment and show a track record of delivering improvement, effective management and resolution of related issues. The ability to lead a large team through managers is crucial for this role. Knowledge of relevant legislation and Health & Safety requirements is essential.
