This is an outstanding opportunity to lead a key manufacturing facility of a multi-site predominately own label consumer goods manufacturing business. Turn over currently stands in the 100’s of millions, and operating as a true partner with is varied customer base, the business has enjoyed solid growth over the last 12 months in tough market conditions.
As a result of a restructure on site to address the on-going challenges, the business has identified the need to bring on board an Area/Department Engineering Manager for a strategically key plant on site. A technically complex department, this role will be responsible for driving adherence to standards and procedures, balancing the reactive needs versus the proactive engineering plans. Adopting a coaching mentality, this role is key to leading and developing a team to apply problem solving/route cause analysis techniques to on-going problems, whilst driving performance and reliability improvement.
The right individual will be an engineering professional, and will have solid experience in the FMCG sector, in particular in an automated and processed environment. You will have strong technical competence, be confident in your ability to address and resolve issues in the plant, but adopt a mentality of coaching your team to resolve these, rather than being driving a hands on style. Working with maintenance programmes, you must be able to drive adherence to PPM’s, ensuring the plant and business progress in performance, whilst working collaboratively with your peers and senior management to formulate and execute strategic plans. Of graduate calibre, you must also have the ambition to achieve in this role and develop your career with a growing and professional organisation.
