Interim Production Leader, Oldham, Lancashire. FMCG Food Manufacturing.
We are recruiting for an Interim Production Leader / Section Leader on behalf of a leading FMCG Food Manufacturer.
Successful candidates will be assisting our client with the lead up to the busy Christmas period, working from Aug until end of December 2012.
Shift Patterns: Days 6am-2pm / 7am - 3pm / 10am-6pm
Based in Oldham Lancashire, the role is commutable from Manchester, Rochdale, Bolton, Bury etc.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be managing a production section with responsibility for a number of Charge Hands and Operatives and agency workers. Working as part of a team to maximise the quality, service and efficiency at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that production targets are met within agreed deadlines, making best use of resources and materials.
- Ensure that customers receive a quality service and a high standard of care, meeting agreed levels of accuracy.
- To provide leadership and support to the Charge Hands, managing and facilitating staff performance and development, ensuring department structure and skills are developed to meet changing job requirements
- Develop staff training and liase with the Production Manager to ensure these requirements are met.
- To control the quality of products, ensuring they are produced to the correct quality standards.
- To be accountable for the financial management of production area e.g. variances, stocks, bills of materials to an agreed standard.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Able to plan and organise projects, tasks and resources
- Computer literate
- Previous experience in a leadership role is desirable.
- Excellent communication Skills
- Able to use initiative to achieve Goals and Targets
