Hygiene Team Leader (Nights)

This highly regarded food manufacturer supplying innovative chilled products to the major UK retailers is seeking a Hygiene Team Leader to join their dedicated team. As a key member of the Hygiene department, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all tasks are carried out in a clean and safe manner according to company standards and procedures. Reporting to the Hygiene Manager, you’ll supervise the Hygiene Operatives to guarantee that instructions are fulfilled in line with quality guidelines whilst accurately maintaining and updating any documentation for verification and audits. With your keen eye for detail you’ll inspect the team’s work to certify that hygiene standards are met, training the junior staff to accurately ensure that production lines are ready for start up. You’ll also carry out weekly chemical stock checks as well as monitoring and maintaining records to rule out any quality, safety or microbial issues and drive continuous improvements across the department. In addition you’ll deputise for the Hygiene Manager where required to organise and run the team and ensure they are following directions in a safe and controlled manner.

We are looking for a Hygiene professional with previous experience of working within a chilled food manufacturing environment. A proven track record of people management and good communication skills is essential along with the ability to motivate and lead your team to achieving fantastic results. You’ll have great planning and organisational skills coupled with a sound knowledge of HACCP and previous internal auditing experience.
